Team Boskalis shares knowledge and wins F18 Argentine Nationals 2011 |
Last weekend, Team Boskalis Larsen/Frank won the F18 Argentine F18 Nationals 2011 in Buenos Aires. The decision came only on the last day, when the Dutch catamaran duo scored two bullets in a row and built up a four point lead. In the spirit of Team Boskalis, the reigning Dutch F18 champions gave a clinic the evening before racing started at the Rio de la Plata, showing that the project's distinctive experience is not limited to the Boskalis team riders.

Boskalis Team Larsen/Frank Nederlands Kampioen F18 2011 |
Op zondag 18 september 2011 werd het Boskalis-duo Gunnar Larsen (Scheveningen) en Sam Frank (Rotterdam) Nederlands kampioen in de F18-catamaranklasse. In een sterk bezet veld van 54 boten, de grootste vloot van de Delta Lloyd ONK 2011, wisten zij met overmacht de titel in de wacht te slepen. Teamgenoten Jorden Veenman (Rotterdam) en Frank de Waard (Barendrecht) eindigen knap als vierde. Het Boskalis-gelegenheidsduo Ferdinand van West (Bloemendaal) en Wilco Stavenuiter legde beslag op de achtste plek.

Team Boskalis sluit leerzaam zeilseizoen af met ONK F18 2011 |
Komend weekend sluit Team Boskalis dit leerzame zeilseizoen af met het ONK F18 in Medemblik. Er zullen drie Nacra Infusion F18 catamarans in de kleuren van Boskalis en Smit aan de start verschijnen. Er zullen naar verwachting zo’n vijftig boten meedoen. De Nederlandse competitie in deze klasse behoort wereldwijd tot de zwaarste, dus dat belooft een spannende strijd te worden. Voor Team Boskalis geldt als doelstelling om met minimaal twee boten in de top vijf te eindigen.

We will sail a matchrace from 11.15 AM till 12.00 AM and give a short demonstration with our fast F18 catamarans. Team Boskalis settles into top five beach cat world |
In the first half of the 2011 sailing season, Team Boskalis managed to settle into the top five of the international beach cat racing circuit. Recently the Dutch duo Pim Nieuwenhuis and Ferdinand of West finished fifth at the F18 Worlds in Hungary. That was also the result that Gunnar Larsen (NED) and Sam Frank (NED) achieved in the Round Texel Race. Their Australian teammates Adam Beattie and Jamie Leitner took bronze at the Texel Dutch Open 2011 (the official Dutch Championship Catamaran Sailing). The Boskalis crews will be chasing the Dutch and Italian F18 title in the postseason.

Team Boskalis wist zich in de eerste helft van het zeilseizoen 2011 in de top vijf van de catamaranwereld te nestelen. Recent eindigden Pim Nieuwenhuis en Ferdinand van West als vijfde bij het WK F18 in Hongarije. Dat was ook de plek die Gunnar Larsen en Sam Frank bij de Ronde om Texel behaalden. Hun Australische teamgenoten Adam Beattie en Jamie Leitner pakten op Texel brons bij het Open NK Catamaranzeilen 2011.

Team Boskalis in starting blocks for Nacra Infusion Worlds 2011 |
Team Boskalis is in the starting blocks for the 2011 Nacra Infusion Worlds on Texel, Netherlands, to be sailed from Monday 20 till Wednesday, June 22. The four crews aim for the first World Title ever in this one design class during the Zwitserleven Sailing Week. The foursome is in good shape. The boats are up to speed and the sailors are well prepared. Because it is the first officially ISAF recognized World Championship Nacra Infusion, all participants are more than ever anxious for this coveted title. Especially Team Boskalis.

Team Boskalis in de startblokken voor WK Nacra Infusion 2011 |
Team Boskalis staat in de startblokken voor het WK Nacra Infusion 2011 op Texel. Van maandag 20 tot en met woensdag 22 juni doen de vier catamaranteams tijdens de Zwitserleven Zeilweek een gooi naar de wereldtitel in deze eenheidsklasse. Het viertal staat er goed voor. De bootsnelheid zit er in, de mannen zijn onderling op elkaar ingespeeld en de catamarans zijn perfect in orde. Omdat het het eerste officieel erkende ISAF wereldkampioenschap Nacra Infusion is, zijn alle deelnemers er meer dan ooit op gebrand om deze felbegeerde titel te veroveren. Vooral Team Boskalis.

Larsen/Frank eerste Nederlandse kampioenen Nacra Infusion |

Gunnar Larsen en Sam Frank van Team Boskalis veroverden afgelopen weekend op het Haringvliet bij Hellevoetsluis de nationale titel in de Nacra Infusion. Het is het eerste officiële Nederlandse kampioenschap, doordat de F18 Nacra Infusion onlangs erkend is als ISAF-klasse. Na twee mooie zeildagen en zeven spannende races ging de blauwe wimpel naar Larsen/Frank, gevolgd door Coen de Koning en Thijs Visser. Het nieuwe Boskalis-duo Jorden Veenman en Frank de Waard pakte brons.
